This imposing Grade II* listed property, located in the heart of the Southwold Conservation Area, represents one of the most architecturally significant secular buildings in the town. Having served since the 1900s as a bank it now requires a new use, and we are delighted to have been commissioned to fully research the building and prepare proposals to ensure its long-term viability.

Some important interiors survive and while the elevation facing the town is well-preserved, the rear of the property has suffered from damage caused by insensitive alterations.

We are looking forward to working closely with the owners of this building to provide a sensitive scheme to restore and enhance this important structure, and our first step is to research and write a detailed heritage appraisal, which will inform the design process.
