We were pleased to be asked by existing clients to design a Garden Loggia at their Suffolk home. The design draws on garden buildings designed by architects such as Voysey, Lutyens and Charles Paget Wade, and uses materials that reflect the house helping it integrate the new building with its site. The roof is to be covered with cedar shingles with lead hips and ridge, and a number of special bricks make up the columns and capitals.
Internally we have designed a fireplace that reflects Lutyens’ detailing, and produced a flooring layout using materials seen to the paths and retaining walls of the garden, which helps create a link between the Loggia, garden and the house.
The project has received planning approval and is to commence on site late 2025.
