New House, Suffolk

Our design for a new house reflects the local vernacular, specifically the styling of the arts and crafts period; an architectural style that exists in Walberswick as a result of several imaginative villas designed by the architect Frank Jennings (1877 –1961), many of which have been worked on by this office. It is intended that the new house will set a benchmark for traditional design in the village, and will be built using local materials and craftsmen.

Where possible, the house is to be constructed from sustainable materials, with minimal use made of cement, plastics and building products with a high chemical content.
