We have undertaken a consultancy role for several architectural firms and organisations.
At the Grade II listed Amport House, Hampshire we provided information regarding the history of the property, and site advice relating to the detailing of a replacement ceiling and cornice for the staircase hall. We also liaised between the client and the Local Authority Conservation Officer to ensure the necessary consent for the work was granted. This was completed for PriDE, on behalf of The Ministry of Defence (MOD).
Following a devastating fire at the Grade I listed Stoke Rochford Hall, Lincolnshire, we were engaged by Rodney Melville and Partners, Leamington Spa, who were the lead conservation architects for the £12 million restoration contract. We provided historical information, detailing advice and evidence to enable the authentic recreation of the elaborate principal interiors. We were also consulted by English Heritage and provided statements regarding the significance of the structure and fabric of the building.
We have contributed to Heritage Appraisals and Conservation Plans prepared by Simpson & Brown Architects, Edinburgh, relating to several country houses and estates in England and Scotland.
