Arts and Crafts Alterations

We have worked closely with our clients to produce concept proposals to celebrate the Arts and Crafts heritage of the original house and to refresh and refine modern extensions to better reflect the qualities of the house while bringing the house together as a cohesive and positive contribution to the area.

The majority of houses located on the lane were designed by Frank Jennings (1877–1961), a local architect who worked extensively within the village of Walberswick, many of his buildings are considered to be the best in Walberswick and are much loved by their owners. Many of these buildings have been worked on by this office.

The proposal aims to be sympathetic to the values of the original architect of the house, with sensitive detailing whilst recognising the modern needs of the client.
